Program your Protel or Elcotel payphone, regardless of where it was purchased. To enable programming, you will need to re-initialize your payphone. After placing your order, you will receive an email with step-by-step instructions. Programming is performed via secure download from our computer to your payphone.
Important Notice:
As of August 2019, the FCC mandated the phase-out of traditional POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) phone lines, with full nationwide sunset completed by August 2, 2022. Due to the unavailability of POTS lines, payphone circuit boards must now be shipped to us for programming. Shipping costs back to the customer will be provided once the boards are programmed.

After you program the board is it saved as the base? If the on board battery dies will it default to other programming or will it retain your programming?
Feb 20, 2024, 12:03 PMIf the board completely defaults it would go back to the factory's programming, not ours.
